Recommendation for distillation tower

Hello. This is Tomoaki Takahara of B4.

This time, I would like to introduce the good points of having a distillation tower in the laboratory.

Of course, it is not for making distilled spirits. Just in case.

Good point ①：: Amazing environment with no water inside.

According to Panasonic’s “Mysterious Library”

The earth is often seen as a majestic shining blue marble. Because 7/10 of the surface of the earth is covered with water. That’s why the earth is called the “water planet”.

As you can see, there is a lot of water on the earth.

However, water in the distillation column was crushed by sodium so water cannot (almost) exist.

Isn’t it surprising if there is a waterless space on the water planet?

If you think there is something like this near you, you will be excited and your life is full of vitality and QOL is guaranteed.

Good point 2：Whimsical

One of the attractions of cats (I’m a dog school) seems to be whimsical.

Surprisingly, the distillation tower has the same “quick” element as the cat.

This is because the distillation tower sometimes boils and sprinkles ketyl throughout the tower.

Since the timing of this bumping is unknown, it is a whim.

The sudden explosive boiling causes us (Kayashima and me) to rebuild the distillation tower which took few hours to do.

Do you feel that this behavior is unreadable, just the cat itself?

If you are a cat lover, you are more than likely to like the distillation tower.

Good point 3: You can name it

The distillation column in the laboratory has a name and every time it is rebuilt, it is named by the distillation column staff.

Naming it is personally fun for me.

The distillation tower that was set up during the House of Representatives election was named “The Tower of Hope“.

Aiming for three zeros, “zero water, zero oxygen, and zero hay fever” after the political party.

Good point 4: Fixing the distillation tower is fun

I wrote that it was fun to fix it but the most fun one was “when I was cutting sodium”.

There was a photo of cutting sodium with a knife in a high school chemistry collection, but it was very impressive to be able to do it with my own hands.

If you give a personal impression when you are cutting

「caressing will heal you」

That subtle feeling is soon regrettable if you don’t actually cut it off.
