Deleted: Graduated with a Ph.D. from Nagoya University in 2015. After working as a postdoctoral researcher at the same university, he became an Assistant Professor at Waseda University in 2016, a Lecturer in 2018, and a Lecturer at the Advanced Research Institute in 2020. He has held his current position since June 2024.
Ph.D. Holders
University faculty members are primarily educators through lectures and research guidance. Unlike teachers in primary and secondary education, they can produce professionals in their field with the title of Doctor. While Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are not to be underestimated, in the world of research, becoming a leader often requires the title of Doctor. Therefore, university faculty members, whose mission is to produce outstanding researchers, depend on how many excellent Ph.D. graduates they can produce.
That said, to earn a Ph.D., one spends 3-6 years in the laboratory. Honestly, during that time, they are with us more than with their family, and we always care about them. They endure our demanding research and share the struggles, sorrows, and joys as comrades. I consider students who earn their Ph.D. in my lab in this way and always want to show them respect. Hence, I created this page when the first cohort of four students earned their Ph.D.
Reflecting on the past and looking forward to the future achievements of our comrades.
