Its been 2 months since I wrote.
Asako’s graduate exam, Isshiki and my organic test check will be tomorrow.
Recently, everyone has been eating “Katsu” very often because katsu means “winning”! In other words, we all wish to pass our exams in flying colors. In fact, Takadanobaba is known for its “competitive battle of delicious tonkatsu“. Out of 5, 2 is the best in nationwide.
Sakaiseinikuten (Takadanobaba)
Isshiki from B4 loves this store which has several chain store in Kanto region. “Thick roast and set meal” for 700 yen only. Every time, I receive 50 yen discount ticket. Using the discount ticket, rice and cabbage are given in large quantity and for free. Cospa is good!
It is delicious when dipped cabbage in garlic sauce and meat is usually delicious. But sometimes the fried skin is too crunchy and my mouth hurts (laughs).
Tonkatsu Ichioshi
It is a very nice shop on the street. “Roast pork set meal” for 690 yen only. Quantity, meat quality and cost performance are perfect!
I recommended to many friends so many times already. Sakai Meat is a catastrophic loss (* personal view). However, other B4 do not agree with me.
Tonta
I’ve visited here last May because in Tabelog review, it shows that it is the top 3 in the whole of Japan. “Special roast set meal” for 2100 yen. The softness of the meat and the melting fat are exquisite.
Narikura
This is the “No. 1” shop for tonkatsu nationwide! “Kirigaki Kogen pork loin and (170g) set meal” for 1960 yen. It’s always crowded and not everyone in the lab can go. The reasonably rare meat is delicious! Eating here with salt is the best!
In fact, I did a part-time job for six months in Narikura last time. The ceiling of the kitchen is not very high and there are bitter memories like accidentally hitting my head to the ceiling … (laughs). Overall, its a very good shop!
Ushikatsu Aona Takadanobaba
I heard a rumor that this food was a popular topic so I decided to go to a Ushikatsu Aona in Takadanobaba! “Mix set” for 1400 yen. The left meat is a Japanese beef and the right is a Japanese black beef. I personally like the Japanese black beef more.
A stylish dish that is neither tonkatsu nor steak. It is recommended to eat with oil salt.
