Lecture at Japan Scripps Society 2017

The other day on December 8, I attended the East Japan Scripps Society held in Yaesu, Tokyo. The Japan Scripps Society is a group of Japanese scientists who belonged to the SCRIPPS Institute in the United States.

The region is divided into East Japan and West Japan, each with over 100 members. There are many Chemists, members are directors and presidents of pharmaceutical companies, the universities are mostly professors, and the chemists who belong to the association are only those who are active in industry, academia and government. When I was in Tokyo, I belonged to East Japan Scripps Society and last time in Nagoya, I belonged to the West Japan Scripps Association and participated almost every year. Since I came back to Tokyo last year, I wanted to participate in the East Japan Scripps Society.

This year, I was able to participate because I was asked by the chairman (in fact, Mr. Hosokawa was the president of East Japan this year). Click here for the program. It was a very precious meeting for me who didn’t have much family and I enjoyed West Japan but I enjoyed East Japan very much.

Ten years have passed since I went to Scripps in April 2007. I aged well and want to do my best not to lose to other seniors.

Of course we will participate in next year. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the president and related teachers who were involved in this year’s management.
