Participation in the Youth Symposium of “Middle molecular strategy” 2017 at Kyoto

I did a presentation at the symposium for the first time this year. I got the chance to participate in the Youth Symposium about “Middle Molecular Strategy” on March 7 and 8.

Venue is at 聖護院 御殿荘 Please click the program here.

I felt that the bus I took from Kyoto Station to the venue is wrong so the taxi driver told me to be careful with my pronunciation.

(I didn’t say where I came from, but the taxi driver told me that people from Nagoya always got it wrong. That person is certainly amazing.)

It was probably the first time since I had my presentation in a symposium. I was quite nervous at that time.

Luckily, I managed to present it successfully and it was a big relief.

The best thing about participating in this symposium was that I was able to introduce myself and greet people with great background and knowledge. Particularly, in this new academic field, there is definitely organic chemistry but there are many people who are very different from the research I have done.it’s important to sharpen your expertise, but at the same time I want to get to understand more.

Next, the social gathering was exciting and drank till 2 am and finally the ramen was closed with more than 10 people (there was also Professor Fukase)

Eventhough it is still a paper but I would like to devote myself to presenting my research again.

Last but not least, I would like to thank Prof. Asano and Prof. Ueda of Kawabata Lab and others who organized this symposium.
